This guide is intended to help legal externs identify resources for completing legal research assignments. If you need any research help with a project, the reference librarians are available to assist you. Email LawReference or call or stop by the reference desk in the library.
This research guide is not intended to be comprehensive, but rather will list some of the major resources and tools for the researcher to use.
If you are receiving academic credit for your work, you are free to use all Library provided databases including Bloomberg, Lexis and Westlaw. If you are being paid for your summer work, you may use Lexis and Bloomberg, but not Westlaw. These usage terms are dictated by the providers through their licensing agreements.
Bloomberg Law includes many resources for civil and judicial externs. Access the Judicial Clerkship Resources or click the link below for the Clinics and Externships resources. Note: You need to login with your Bloomberg Student Account to access the sites.
