Sponsored by the Northwest Justice Project, Washington Law Help provides an excellent source of information for a wide range of legal issues that affect the daily lives of many people. The site includes guides to 14 major subject areas, ranging from Family Law to Veterans Benefits. Each guide is written for a general audience and is extremely easy to access. Guides such as that to Aging and Elder Law contain links that break down complex rules of state and federal benefit programs so that they are easier to understand.
In addition to the guides, Washington Law Help provides access to a number of other valuable materials. Clicking on the More Legal Information tab provides access to a site with a number of informative links including links to court forms and information on how to work with attorneys. The Court Forms page allows access to a list of 74 forms created by the Northwest Justice Project. The forms available are organized in three categories: family law do-it-yourself packets, miscellaneous forms, and in forma pauperis forms.
In addition to providing easily accessible information, Washington Law Help makes it easy to find an attorney. Following the links to information displayed on each of the pages ultimately leads to a tab that allows you to find an attorney by entering your zip code, city, or county.
