As a student worker, you are a very important member of the library staff. The tasks that you perform are critical to the efficient and successful operation of the Law Library.
Opening: Electronic Services Assistant
Pay: $19.97 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible
Job description: This is a part-time position (4-10 hour per week) at the Seattle University law library. Responsibilities include scanning and processing archival documents, posting digital content and metadata, assisting with the maintenance of law library databases, assisting with the management of the School of Law's institutional repository, and helping cite and document the scholarly activity of faculty. Other duties as assigned.
Educational benefits: The employee will gain insight into the academic publishing cycle and learn about issues related to copyright and scholarly work. The student will also get hands-on experience with best practices for scanning and processing archival materials.
Minimum qualifications: Excellent attention to detail. Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word and Google Apps. Experience managing and editing web content. Familiarity with citation styles and formatting. Ability to follow step-by-step instructions. Comfortable with data-entry.
